    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it gives you an idea about where our modern language comes from and how it has developed over time. It also presents many amazing books and stories that you otherwise would not have read.

    Course highlights:

One of the many highlights of this course was reading "Oliver Twist." It taught me about the Liberal English society and the difference between the treatment of the rich and the poor.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the books and stories that the teacher assigns because they are actually good and interesting. Also, use spark notes to help you better understand the work. The website actually goes more into detail of what the story is trying to tell.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend American Lit because we don’t always agree with what we read, or we agree in part. We read literature to test the truth of a message against our worldview

    Course highlights:

In American Lit, we got an overview of literature in general. Our coursework included reading texts and learning to place them in context. We also developed interpretation and analytical skills appropriate for novels, short stories, drama, poetry. We also practiced writing essays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your work. There are two main reason why your teacher gives you homework: to support a topic that has been taught in class and to introduce what will be taught in during the next class. So your study can be greatly improved by finishing your homework.
