Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Macroeconomics with Mr. Zane is the best! Mr. Zane is so clear and teaches so well. It's as if Economics is my most simple yet most practical class, because everything you learn in Zane's, you can transfer to your real life. For example, we recently learned about simple interest, and calculating interest is key to paying off loans that we may have in the future.

    Course highlights:

The best part of AP Macroeconomics was doing this fun project called the Game of Life, in which we have to set up our own budget to live independently in Hawaii. We roll the dice to determine our jobs and income, as well as our life circumstances. From this project, I really learned how hard living in such a place as Hawaii without the support of my parents is.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Going into this course, students should be openminded and ready for a vigorous but fun learning experience. Although Mr. Zane is quite lenient, students should be disciplined in doing their homework on time. This AP Macroeconomics class gives you a better understanding of the world and how resources work.
