    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any incoming sophomore. Although it is difficult, AP World History is a good way to introduce the rigors of an advanced placement course. It teaches time management and responsibility and gets you ready for future AP classes.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course, one of the most important lessons I've learned is time management. Since this was my first Advanced Placement course, I initially struggled with the expectations, homework, and pressure. However, this in the end made me a stronger person and a stronger student.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To students considering this course, my advice would be to not procrastinate. There is a lot of material that will be taught and you don't want to fall behind. I often had to pull all-nighters just to get assignments done because my time management was so poor in the past.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Personally I loved the course, but I felt that the teacher wasn't prepared enough and wasn't experienced enough to handle the course load.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were learning about strong, independent villages as well changes throughout time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. Constantly study and train yourself to get the most from this course and ace the exam.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to history buffs who have a passion and interest within the origins of civilization to life as it is today. I would not recommend this course for people who want an easy A. This course is not a course where you could "take it easy" and it is one of the most difficult courses that I have ever taken.

    Course highlights:

Although the course seemed pretty repetitive throughout the entirety of the course, I gained a more expansive knowledge on history. Some activities were actually pretty fun like a skit on a specific event or leader in history and a PowerPoint presentation we gave as a group. Overall, this experience not only taught me about world history, but helped me gain confidence in my abilities as a student. It definitely taught me that hard work and dedication pays off.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

As I emphasized earlier, I would definitely want to work hard to do all of the assignments and always put your best effort into them! You always want to read each chapter of the book thoroughly, and read it more than once before the test at the end of the week. I would try to have study sessions with some of your classmates outside of your class, and have discussions on the chapter at hand. Most of all, never give up in the class and always do your best!
