    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Every Friday you are out in the field seeing first hand what it is that is being taught to you. There are no lectures, just first hand experiences on how to use field equipment and identifying different types of plants, how to capture fish for analyzing and how to analyze the water parameters. What better way to learn than to be physically doing what is being taught?

    Course highlights:

The main highlight is that your classroom is the beach. I learned how to analyze water parameters, what different tools are used when out in the field doing research. I learned how to identify different types of plants and fish. They also teach you how to write an official lab report when doing research which comes in handy when being a science major.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is an easy course but do not take it for granted. You learn a lot of valuable resources, and everything taught should be embedded into your mind because you will use it all for the rest of your life.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great introduction in to the field of marine biology if you didn't know that much about it yet. It also helps the students learn all the different type of equipment they would be using as the do research papers.

    Course highlights:

Learning about all the equipment that you will use and the proper way to make graphs and charts for research papers

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the readings and make sure to start on the equipment manual early and don't wait las minute to write your assignments.
