    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I personally recommend this course simply because I love English. It helps with the writing process, and analyzing works of literature.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze poetry more in depth and how to understand different figures of speech, along with tone, rhythm, and meter.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the required reading, and try to really put your all in your writing, and follow all the instructions for certain writing assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helped me improve on my reading and writing skills. I really enjoyed the texts we read and think that they helped create interesting discussions during class.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me how to use quotes properly in essays. I did learn how to do so in high school; however, this course taught me in more depth and helped me to incorporate quotes correctly in certain situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If a professor assigns any reading for homework, be sure to actually complete the reading! The times when I didn't read what was assigned, I had a hard time following along during discussions. When reading, it really helps to highlight and take notes of anything that may be important, or things you may not understand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have always loved English, but Mrs. Browe makes the class even better than it already would have been! She is dedicated, funny, nice, and very knowledgeable about writing and the text that we read. She gives students freedom to choose essay topics and is very understanding about extending deadlines. I've never taken a better course!

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about my personal writing style and I learned how to better organize an argumentative essay. I also learned how to better analyze literature and understand the author's true message.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest taking this course if you love short stories, analysis, and having freedom in essays.
