Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Religion as a topic of study is full of learning opportunities. The course is a pseudo-history class due to the covering of religions' origins and founders. This can help develop the skills and know-how needed in other history courses. It also presents the opportunity for one to broaden their own acceptance and understanding of people. Learning what people believe and why they do so will allow one to expand their mental boundaries beyond the cultures they already know.

    Course highlights:

I learned the ins and outs of some of the worlds most popular religions. This includes their origins, doctrines, and relevance today. Learning these things allows you to see the similarities streaked through the different belief systems, like the way many African religions have flood stories that parallel Noah's Arc. Their are also such distinctly different ways of thought across religions. Factors like these lead to the way one thinks being changed fundamentally as you learn how vast the scope of mental possiblity truly is.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The key to this course is learning the information. There is a mass of details entangled with each religion studied, so it is imperative that one keeps up with their note-taking. Also, concentration and focus during lectures and class-discussions are crucial to the full comprehension of the course.
