    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because even though it's tough, it's a fun class and I've learned a lot from it.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about history, and I learned a lot about AP courses and how they work. Some of the highlights were when I knew something beforehand, or when I actually remembered something Mr. Pirotta brought up.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE BOOK! Reading the textbook is one of the most important things you can do in this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP World, while definitely a difficult course, is a great introduction to the themes in the history of the world. While the class does not go into great depth in one particular era or another, it does a great job of tying all of the major world events into one cohesive narrative that explains how the past directly influenced the world we live in today.

    Course highlights:

In addition to a mere history of the world, the class develops critical thinking skills that can be used in everyday life. There is no better class for picking up study habits, as there is definitely enough work to keep you busy. The variety of writing styles in the class also adds in some interdisciplinary study. There is, of course, the various historical tidbits that remain unforgettable, such as the fall of Constantinople in 1453.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are assigned reading, always do it as there will be content that can't always be covered in class. Do not be afraid to ask for clarification if you do not understand part of a lecture. All practice writing assignments are for your benefit, and they will come in helpful on the AP exam.
