    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Unless you go into the class as a great writer you will have a hard time with the exam. Just because there isn't much content to be taught in the class. The curriculum is all analyzing text which has very little if anything to do with the final exam. It's a class that has no way of preparing you for the final exam.

    Course highlights:

There are some pretty cool books that you read in the class such as the Great Gatsby, The Jungle, and the Scarlet letter. There are also some pretty good discussions that can spring from talking about the books.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you do the reading, and keep up with Vocab. That kind of stuff can very easily take your grade from an A to an F. Stay on top of your work and try to get as much of it done as you can in class, it helps a lot especially when you get worked dumped on you from other classes.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is good if you like reading all kinds of books from different eras. Although the work load can be annoying. Make sure you keep up with your grade in this class because I have ha numerous friend's grades drop from As to Fs. It all really depends on the teacher that you get.

    Course highlights:

The one thing that you learn in this class is rhetorical analysis. They beat this horse until there is nothing left of it. They drill it so much into your head that you will have nightmares about analyzing texts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you get as much done in class as you can. If you don't you will very easily be overwhelmed by the work. Overall if you stay on top of things it's a fairly easy class

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it teaches you to better analyze prompts and is useful when taking the essay portion of the SAT.

    Course highlights:

The one specific thing that i learned in this course was that in order to succeed a great deal of time management is required in everything from writing essays to planning the completion of projects, and if focus on that goal is lost, it ca become difficult to keep up with the workload given.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

One great deal of advice is to begin large projects on the day that they are assigned and work on them over time because there is almost always additional things that must be completed and in order to succeed, one must be fast and efficient when working in this course.
