    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

it's important to be informed, and the class can be made very interesting with an involved teacher. It goes in depth about the in's and out's of the government and how it functions. You learn how representatives of all kinds are elected, their terms, and powers. This class results in a more educated, well rounded citizen.

    Course highlights:

i learned about the multiple branches of government, the duration of terms for representatives and senators and how they differ. I learned the checks and balances of the branches and how they work together or limit one another. I was also taught about state laws and how that is decided if it is up to them rather than the national government.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed, review your notes regularly after taking them. There are a lot of small details and differences between each position, and if you do not take the course seriously it will get very confusing. Studying for tests includes reviewing all worksheets and writing notes, or flashcards.
