Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was my first AP class ever and I took it my sophomore year and I thought it was a great class. I learned a lot about the environment and how I impact the world around me. I got a 4 on the AP exam.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the environment and all the things that take place in it and all the things that impact it. From the deep sea to the ozone hole I learned things about the environment that I never knew before and was able to apply my new found knowledge to my everyday life, such as switching to reusable bottles instead of plastic because it reduces plastic waste in landfills. Overall, I thought it was a great class that more students should take.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students is not to slack. My workload was not huge but procrastinating is not the way to go. Also, study those vocab terms! Those words will reappear over and over and its always best to know what they mean. And keep a notebook with notes and make sure they're organized and detailed. Lastly, don't let the math intimidate you. You aren't allowed to use a calculator and you're going to be bombarded with big numbers but if you know the steps to solving the types of problems they become simple and non intimidating. Oh, and for the FRQ's, short and sweet is the way to go.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are a determined student, with a love of learning, and you are at all interested in what is happening to the environment around us, take this class. Mr.Miller is extremely thorough in his explanations through games, readings, discussions, power points, and movies.

    Course highlights:

We learned about the history of environmental science, what ES majors do now, and how they are impacting the damage the environment is recieving from modern production and development. We discussed and discovered ways of debating as if we were talking to a high class lawyer or a company to persuade them not to pursue a course of action.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study, dont ever stop. Mr.Miller will do everything he can to prepare you for the exam and if you work with him and study individually on your own you'll easily get a 5 on the exam.
