Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has taught me so much. In the two years that I have taken it, I have grown considerably as a student. I also enjoy learning in this class because I have an amazing teacher, Mrs. Romano who believes in us as her students and gives us the resources to be successful in her class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the labs that we did together, where we were able to learn through experience. I learned to have confidence when taking assessments as well. I also learned how to draw, and label diagrams, I learned new vocabulary, methods of biology, and applications to the biological processes that we discussed. Overall, and most importantly I have learned better test taking skills for the future from this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is helpful to be good at memorizing processes in biology. It is also important to believe in yourself and to not doubt your answers or hypotheses on certain material. Just remember, as Mrs. Romano likes to tell us, when doing an experiment, there are never any failures, there is only new data created from mistakes made during the process.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking Biology. It is a very interesting class that you can connect to yourself. It relates to almost every aspect of you and the world around you. I also enjoy the teaching style, I am a kinesthetic learner, so hands-on activities help me learn. I also like being able to connect the class to other classes and aspects of the society through the things I learned. I also like the energy that went with the learning environment.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this class was the human body and genetics unit. I enjoyed learning about my body and how each tiny change creates an enormous change to the body. The teacher also provided content for all the learning styles, including songs,hands-on, and videos. I still remember almost all of the information from when I took this class freshman year, two years ago.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I know that this class may not be as interesting to you as it was to me, just try your best and that"s all you can do. Who knows, you may end up loving it and wanting to pursue a career in science. This class introduced me to genetics and I now want to do Biomedical engineering, it could open you to new opportunities that could change your life. Work hard and you can do it.
