    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is extremely interesting and also helps with other classes since it aids in understanding the historical context around documents, poems, authors, books and more. Also it made me more aware of events such as the holocaust, and both world wars.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about important events that shaped the world such as European colonization, World War One and two, the holocaust/the reign of Hitler, and the reign of various Kings and Queens (my personal favorite is Louis the 14th).

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice for the AP Exam a lot and don't procrastinate on studying for it! Also make use of your access to the internet and youtube. There are very many teachers out there who make videos and study guides to help you along the way. The videos are fun and an easy way to learn and comprehend material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend to take this course because even though it was an extremely difficult AP class I was able to learn a long span of history throughout one year. During my time taking AP European history I was also able to learn about how society functioned in the past which helps me have a deeper understanding of society today. I am a firm believer that those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it, and I believe that during AP European History I will prevent myself from making mistakes that others made in the past.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was being able to learn about many different ages of history beginning from the Renaissance to present day. My favorite thing that I learned throughout my year in AP European History was learning about the scientific revolution. I liked learning about the scientific revolution because I was able to see how people went against what they were taught to revolutionize the field of science, I also think it is incredibly interesting that the things we learn today as children were groundbreaker research during the scientific revolution.

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students taking this course is to read and outline every section. I believe what made me so successful in this course was having a second textbook that I would read and color coordinate my notes at the end of every section. Reading the textbook given by the teacher and using another textbook that I annotated allowed me to multiple sources to use if I did not understand a topic.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is an excellent way to introduce European History. overall, it gives you a solid understanding of the continent as a whole, which allows you context for historical events and developments.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me an immense amount of information. The course covers almost 600 years of information, which allows you to learn about entire political, economic, religious, and social movements in Europe over time. Because i live in the United States of America, this course gave me specifically a global context to the American history i was familiar with, like colonization and the revolution from a different angle than i had ever learned it from before.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to take notes and synthesize information well. There is a lot to cover and it is very easy to get confused, you must stay organized with your information and understand the causes and effects of events in European History (as these things are often tested on the AP exam). Use the Crash Course study book to review for the AP exam.
