Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Marcy is an absolute doll. She is so helpful and thorough with her teachings. I struggle particularly in science and she has greatly helped me. I am now confident in BIO and feel better about progressing in my zoology degree.

    Course highlights:

In this course you will focus on microbiology, enzymes, ATP transfer, Photosynthesis and genetics. I, particularly loved the genetics. I find it so fascinating how traits can be passed on through generations of living things .

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of homework associated in this course. The worst thing you can do is fall behind it in. Much of the homework, especially the labs are going to help your overall efficiency in the exams you will be taking. Also be sure to show up every single class period, unless you absolutely can't. 5 points extra credit is rewarded to students who don't miss more than 3 class periods. Certainly it'll help with how you retain the information as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While some of the information in this class can be a refresher, Nathan ensure to make it enjoyable and informative. Even in the most confusing sections of the course, I had a good understanding of what was going on. He made it very easy to learn.

    Course highlights:

Personally, I really enjoyed learning about photosynthesis and cellular respiration. They're more or less the same process using the same properties. It's very fascinating to learn about our own bodies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you can read through the book without falling asleep, you'll learn twice the information I do. In addition, you'll have no problem passing the course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course as a good starting point to all of the science classes. Biology is something all students had to take in High school so some of the information is familiar to the student, preparing you for what a college science class is at a subject that is not foreign to the student .

    Course highlights:

I loved this class the most because the teacher was so involved in our learning she made sure to help us understand something better if we were struggling and would also have us do group projects, coloring activities, and field trips to help change to a hands on learning environment rather than just a lecture and remember type of class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

One thing that helped me the most is to draw a lot of pictures of the different molecules and atoms to help me remember something better than if I were to write a description in my notes, I applied this to all of the chapters in biology. Another that helped was watching interactive videos on the internet rather than just reviewing my lecture notes, by changing the way I reviewed for my tests I did better on the tests.
