    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was very entertaining and informative. The students were able to learn to speak in front of crowds in a variety of different ways, and were led to be comfortable doing so. We also got to pick our own topics, which helped us to be able to speak on things we believed in or were passionate about.

    Course highlights:

This course freaked me out at first because I am a shy and quiet person. By being able to pick my topics, I got to make my speeches my own, as if they were for a real event. I learned that I can stand in front of a crowd and tell them something about myself, or inform them about something I know a lot about. I learned to face my fear of public speaking and the different techniques used in speech writing. One technique we used was the "Monroes Motivated Sequence". This was used in our persuasive speech. It's basically a multistep speech to try to persuade people your way. I would highly recommend this class and this professor, she is patient and has a good sense of humor.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you go to class, a lot of the work is being involved and getting to know your peers. Also, be prepared to love public speaking. The class seems scary at first, but it's actually really fun!
