    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For most biology majors, Organic Chemistry is a class you have to take. Taking this rigorous class with Pamela Cohn made understanding complex topics less of a headache. I extremely recommend this professor as she goes in depth when explaining concepts so you can understand the material without having to worry.

    Course highlights:

In this course you learn about antiomers, isomers, polarcovalent compounds, relocating carbon bonds, electron configurations, electronegativity, creating and building compounds, identifying chains, naming compounds based on molecular structure, and utilizing the 'chair' concept.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to ask questions if you are unclear on a topic, don't try to understand it on your own because you might be missing the bigger picture. Also reserve time for studying in groups with some of your fellow classmates, and even take some of the practice tests offered.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

My experience in this class was amazing! This is one of the hardest classes in college and Professor Cohn made it enjoyable,

    Course highlights:

I learned so much in this class. It is very important to keep up with the practice problems so one doesn't fall behind. I learned that organic chemistry is very visual and to use a model kit is recommended.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do practice problems! It really does help to repeat problems because when it comes to test time it will be muscle memory.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Erin offers the opportunity to develop or continue delevloping a love for chemistry. Her excitement, passion, and heart always made the (challenging) course enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of organic chemistry and how multiple reaction types i.e addition reactions worked.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Put the amount of work in and you will see the results that you hope for. If you put no work in you'll wish you would have.
