Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs White is an extremely patient and kind hearted person. She is very personable and easily relates to students to make them more comfortable about the work load. Throughout this senior course, 90% of the work is reading. There are challenging books, but it is a great preparation for future college reads.

    Course highlights:

Truthfully, the most beneficial lesson I took from this course was public speaking. On top of the excess amounts of reading, students will be expected to present power points and projects to the class to prepare for their IOP, a presentation that all students must give at the end of the year. Through many of my presentations, I was able to learn about both time management while presenting and formality.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate on your reading. When you read, you are going to have to annotate, simply meaning marking authors techniques as you progress through the books. Keep up with the reading section assignments. Often times, reading past the required page is beneficial for you. If you don't like the book chosen, learn to deal with it and continue on.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to others because it is a great class to learn how to truly write at the level we should be writing or even more advanced. This class prepares students to be ready to read and write at a college level and further litterateur skills.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learned how to read more thoroughly and in depth. This class helps you to understand the full meanings of minor areas of a novel and how to relate it to the world and ourselves. I also learned how to better organize my writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering this course is to make sure you complete all your work and on time! Most importantly, it is essential to ask for help and find time to talk to your teacher about anything on your essays or writing prompts.
