Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone who is very into history, or just extremely good at history, especially if wanting to challenge themselves in history, rather than just getting 100's in a regular class. This was a very challenging and intense course, but also taught you how to prepare for AP exams and college.

    Course highlights:

The highlights or something I personally really enjoyed was going into depth on time periods, especially the 1900's- 2000's. I learned note taking skills while reading and going into depth into a chapter in the textbook. I also learned a lot by taking a quiz every week over the reading done on our own time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To anyone considering the course, I would recommend someone who is hard working, and has time to read every night, and someone who will really focus in on history and what you're reading.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a fun class that teaches you more in depth version of American History. You explore parts of history not covered in general history classes. It covers the time period beginning with the first settlers.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the Revolutionary war and the beginning of the United States as a country. We learn about the different wars and the major points in history that changed our country and our views. We discuss how we changed as a people.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The key word is too study. For tests and quizzes you can not pass this course without getting good grades on them. Even though you do not get that much homework, it is important to complete it on time. Mr. Staats is a fair teacher, but he will not except late work.
