    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Teacher does not go over material in class but rather expects you to complete online modules. In class she only goes over practices but does not teach the content well.

    Course highlights:

It was allowed be to be more independent in my study since everything was self taught

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

do all practice before class, she will not teach you how to do it in class

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend Spanish 401 because learning a second language is very important in our society and it allows me to help a bigger population of people, helping both English speakers and Spanish speakers. Professor Barbaria makes Spanish 401 easy to understand and she explains the course very well.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things in this class, such as how to introduce myself in Spanish, as well as the basic vocabulary in Spanish, such as "hola" for "hi", "muy bien" for "very good", and "disfrutar" for " to enjoy". I learned many medical terms in Spanish, many restaurant terms, and I also learned about different Spanish speaking countries and how people live everyday lives in those countries.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise students to first enter the life of taking this course with a positive attitude and a willingness to enjoy the journey of learning from this course. I also advise students to make some friends in the class, exchange phone numbers, and frequently study with their newly made friends. They can also practice speaking to each other in Spanish. For students who work, I advise them to only take this one course for the semester, so they don't have too much to do. This course is a tough course.
