Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor had so many opinions about politics. I didn't agree with her point of view, but I appreciated how she always asked students with differing opinions to share their motivation for holding that opinion. No one ever got into heated debates and I felt like everyone had a voice and could share freely.

    Course highlights:

One of my favorite chapters in class explored political campaigns and I learned so much! Not only was the book that we used for the class wonderful, but Professor Yapundich (who is a lawyer) was a wellspring of knowledge. It made for some very eye-opening discussions in class!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read, read, read! She gives you a lot of reading so stay on top of it as much as possible. There is so much information and the time goes by quickly. Students who thoroughly read the chapters aced the exams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course because it is a very dry course. The only reason I am taking it is because I need it for general education requirements. The textbook chosen by the professor is one of the worst college texts I have ever read. The Amercian govenment book is excessively wordy, and difficult to comprehend. I have completed my English requirements so that should tell you something.

    Course highlights:

My professor does her job well. She is quite knowledgeable about the political system. I learned the government has a lot of complex inner workings.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you absolutely must take the course, do it. Otherwise, consider another related subject.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Syreeta is an outstanding and energetic woman who not only gave the class plenty of information but knowledge and wisdom that would help a student succeed in the course.

    Course highlights:

Because it was a summer course, I expected it to feel rushed and difficult to understand. Mrs. Harada brought freshness to an otherwise highly structured subject.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you take detailed and concise notes to study with throughout the week, it should be a breeze.
