Not too easy. Not too difficult.
The course requires minimal effort outside the classroom. In order to achieve an A (which is typically rather difficult) one needs to show up to this class every meeting, and follow the examples and copy them down for later review before exams. You may also do the homework until you have 100% so there is no reason to not receive a 100% overall on homework and boost your grade.
I went from hating accounting to loving the process, its methods, and the system for solving.

Advice for students:
Do the homework completely but even more so, before exams, sit down and work through all the examples until you can do so on your own without consulting help or looking at the answers. If you can work through all examples on your own, you are more than set to pass this class. Attend office hours. Accounting classes can be dry but office hours allow you to receive specific help in a much more personal explanation - furthered my understanding of financial accounting so much more than just reading the book.
