    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is necessary for any medical professionals and assists in identifying major anatomical locations, as well as anomalies in the body. As a practitioner I rely on palpation and knowledge of muscle groups, nerve innovations, and location of major organs, which this course provided.

    Course highlights:

This course dissected the human body, working as teams to progressively learn the anatomy. I was able to track nerves through muscles, see the spinal columns, hold a heart, and understand the body in a way no textbook is able to. If you are a hands on learner, this course will help you learn in a whole new way. Each body is built similarly, but distinguishable, and by dissection you are able to see how each person passed and what makes each person unique.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY. find a group and go to the lab after hours, study hard. Make note cards, come up with phrases, create a song. The teacher, lab instructor, and TAs are all available to help, make sure to utilize them. This is one of the most difficult courses offered, so don't blow it off.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because although difficult, it is very beneficial to learning. Being able to use cadavers donated to the school in order to learn more about the human body really made learning fun. This was definitely the most hands on learning that I have ever done in my life, and everyone in the class benefited from being able to go into the lab at any time during the day and use the body to learn.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was being able to use a cadaver in order to study. I learned many things about the body, ranging from innervations of muscles all the way to origins and insertions of muscles.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise to not work at all during this course, but if a student has to, I would suggest sticking to one job. I worked two jobs during this course and had very little free time to myself, and ended up being very stressed out.
