This class was tough.
Course Overview:
This course was very challenging because it was a completely new approach to solving mathematical equations and scenarios. Dr. Randrianrivony emphasized to need to for practice. She offered additional problems and took the time to go through them during her office hours. I would suggest if your professor does not do the same to meet up with a tutor and just go through as many extra problems as possible!
Course highlights:
The course approaches problem solving in a new light. This math course requires you to use all pre-requisite knowledge. Therefore, it solidified algebraic, trig and calculus concepts and theories by applying them to real world scenarios.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
To take the time to review past mathematical concepts as well as to do as many problems as you can. Also, the course is pretty fast past so make sure to ask whenever you are unsure.

Course Overview:
Brody's teaching style suits self-learners and people who already know the subject matter. He will meet with you if you need help, but I found his alternative explanations to be even less helpful than class instruction. If you already have familiarity and passion about the subject matter you will probably be delighted with Brody's classes, however I was not one of those people for this class.
Course highlights:
I took this course because it was required. I don't remember much from it several years later and didn't really use the material again except for a few projects in high level engineering classes.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Plan to spend a lot of time on this material, unless you aced all of your other math courses.
