Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He does have a weird way of explaining elements, compounds, reactions, etc, but that did help me comprehend the material well. He is also available any time to help if you need it.

    Course highlights:

He had an outgoing personality throughout the semester and I learned how to convert measurements, nuclear chemistry, and that there was more to the periodic table than elements; such as electron configuration, orbitals, energy levels, and sub levels.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete the homework, complete reviews after each chapter, and re do quizzes for more comprehension.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was great. My professor did a perfect job at giving us the information we needed in such a short amount of time. This class was definitely a challenge as it was an enormous amount of information in a time span of 5 weeks but I'm proud to say I did it. While it would be better to do a regular semester for this class, Mr. Polk did a tremendous job of making it as painless as possible without compromising content.

    Course highlights:

Through this class, I learned much of the information that will be seen on the TEAS V test for prospective nursing students. I now feel confident that I will excel in the science portion of that test and feel thoroughly prepared as I move into microbiology.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It is important that you allow yourself the hours necessary to study as much of the learning is self directed. You're given the information in class but it's up to you to practice and study. In a class like this, it's study or fail.
