Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I learned some of the most important writing skills that I will need in my future academic career. I still use my book for this class, it is very easy to understand and it has even helped me with my next level English class. I do wish I knew that reading the material at least twice is very important to understand and have and insightful conversation during class discussions. I advice for students who are thinking to take this class to not be shy and join in class discussions, as it does affect a great deal of your grade. This course refreshed my mind on essay structure, it thought importance of reading comprehension, and developed my confidence and ability as a writer. The course was challenging in was that you have to be willing to read at least twice the material to understand it better and be prepared to discuss it in class. Also I wished I didn't miss any class because that's when we would get a surprised quiz every now and then. Overall I really enjoyed the class, came out a better writer and reader and gained confidence in my ability as a writer. I also really enjoyed homework assignments because they were fairly easy and fun. Most of the homework was reading articles and replying to a discussion post on blackboard, where had to reply to at least two other students.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of this course were the interesting article material we read and the lively and mind opening class discussions we had about them. I learned a lot about subjects that matter, like social economic class and how these issues are important and do make a difference in our world today. Another highlight was coming to class to a great professor who was passionate and cared about his students academic goals and was very helpful in answering every questions we had in order to give us a better understanding of our projects.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice you to not miss any class, to not miss any surprise quizzes. Also read material at least twice and don't be afraid to speak up in class to earn class participation points.
