Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is very eye opening and it makes you realize that there is so more history for African Americans besides being slaves and the Civil Rights movement.

    Course highlights:

You learn about so many triumphs and tragedies. For instance, you learn about Nat Turner and his rebellion and how that transpired and gave so many slaves courage to seek freedom. Another thing that you learn in the beginning of the course is the many kingdoms that Africans reigned--not including Egyptians, but actual West Africans.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to have a class discussion on the reading and takes notes. Also be prepared to hear some ignorant thoughts but try not to take it so personal; they're usually coming from a place that they don't obtain knowledge in. They are there to learn as well.
