    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Ms Ayers was very helpful with her feedback. If I needed help she would take the time to help me understand . I appreciated her comments or suggestions. Ms Ayers was always available and willing to help me improve my grade. AP English was at time difficult but knowing that I had the support I needed to succeed was encouraging. I found a passion for reading. I was not a reader before this class. The only thing I wanted to read was the scoreboard, I'm a Hockey player. Dont misunderstand me I'm a good student but reading just wasnt a big part of it.

    Course highlights:

I found my love of reading. My mom and sister are big readers and I never really could appreciate that until this course. I used to wonder how could they want to read a book it seemed so boring to me. To waste your time on a book when you could be doing something else! It honestly baffled me.Because we were required to read so many books i began to love the time i spent with a book. I became a part of the stories. The characters became a part of me or I became a part of the story. I was immersed. I spent most of my summer with my nose buried in a book, it was wonderful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes! Dont judge a book by its cover...literally! Take your time when reading. You need to take your time reading a book because then you allow yourself to get to know the characters. Its ok to fall in love with or despise a character too. Don't just read books you are assigned to read. Go and find books that peak your interests. I thought I would be all about the suspense and action books because thats the type of movies that I enjoy but nope! Apparently I'm a romantic when it comes to books, go figure. So get lost! Get lost in a book!
