    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course for those who have a strong passion for science and are pursuing a career related to science. It will help out with biology credits in college if you pass the AP Exam!

    Course highlights:

This course has plenty of labs, including working with live animals like bugs. I learned about the intricate details of cellular functions and even participated in a project on a cellular organelle election, where we ran an election on which organelle is the most important. This course also focuses on genetics and DNA. Everything in this course is interesting, and it is worth it to take the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always study. There is no doubt that in order to pass the class, you need to dedicate time into studying. This course is relentless with difficulty and thorough studying as well as taking time to understand the material is required.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As I said, there are many foreign concepts that require time and effort. If a student puts in the time and effort they will do very well. Very fun class but you get to learn so much through labs and lectures.

    Course highlights:

This course has allowed me to extend my knowledge to a different field in science. Doing the math and working through problems strengthen my skill to look outside the box. I learned what science was really like. we are usually given a set of directions for labs but we did a lab to create bath products from scratch. We failed so many times but got closer and closer to the solution; in a way, this lab was something like a team building exercise. One thing I learned was electron configuration. When we first started learning it looked like a bunch of random numbers and letters, I had no idea I would be able to solve a problem like that on my own. This class was a new experience and one I was willing to put my time and effort in for.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course, make sure you do all of your homework assigned (which will not be a lot or every night). Be willing to take time out to study and read through something you don't understand and don't be ashamed to ask for help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because there is so much to learn about the human body and Mrs. Ainsley is the perfect person to teach it.

    Course highlights:

I gained in-depth knowledge about each system of the human body and how everything in the body correlated with one another to maintain homeostasis. The highlight of the class was having a hands-on experience with labs and such.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on time with due dates and make sure you study the flash cards and other material she gives. Its all about memory.
