    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Chem really prepares you for a work load of a college class, and Mr. Smith is such a great resource!

    Course highlights:

I went to a senior shadow day at Purdue West Lafayette and I got the chance to sit in on a Chem 116 course and I was able to keep up with the practice problems they were doing in class, and it really validated how hard I have been working in Mr. Smith's class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO YOUR WEBASSIGN. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. then, get Mr. Smith's notes and full on memorize them. You will thank me later.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mr. Smith is an extraordinary teacher, and he teaches the material well. Not only did I learn chemistry and feel prepared for the AP test, I learned life skills. Mr. Smith managed to teach a high school class like it was a college class, get students to understand the material, and teach them that there is more to life than just being a good student.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the class, was the lecture days. Mr. Smith is an engaging teacher, and has hands on learning in the classroom. Lecture days did mean hard work, but it paid off in the end and I learned more chemistry in this one AP class than the past two years of chemistry I have taken combined.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to memorize the summer packet, and keep a binder with everything Mr. Smith gives out during the year. The entire class is built off the memorized information in the summer packet, and it is a real set back if it is not memorized from the beginning. The binder is useful because it's a good way to keep all of the information in one spot, and it makes it easier to study for the AP test.
