    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is essential to a student's learning because it touches on the basics of all topics that English classes cover in high school. This class is a great way to establish a student's foundation on grammar, essay writing, and reading comprehension.

    Course highlights:

One of the many highlights of this course was the amount of time that was spent on analyzing every piece of reading that the class covered. Not only were students required to write in-depth essays, but they also had the opportunity to participate in class discussions about the themes and important aspects of the novel. In addition, students were able to brush up on their grammar skills in order to write exceptional essays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students need to put time in this class; it isn't one of those classes that can be neglected or given least priority. If the students need help, then they need to take responsibility and approach their teacher with their problems. Once students receive test scores or essay grades, they should take the time to look over them and understand what they did wrong so they can improve for the next time. This class is all about taking initiative and proving that incoming freshman are capable of handling the pressure and responsibility that high school entails.
