Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is extremely good at explaining the content of each chapter we are required to go over. The resources to excel in the class are all available to the student and he will work with you further if you need any help.

    Course highlights:

In this course we learned about the evolution of life on our planet along with animal niches and the various systems that make up the body of animals and humans alike. I learned how scientist, over the years, worked off of each others studies to come to their own conclusion about the life on this planet and how it came to be that way. Carrying off of natural selection, I then learned about all the different groupings of life (individual, population, community, ecosystem, biome, biosphere). Overtime, we worked our way through each system that makes the body function (nervous system, circulatory system, respiratory system, etc.).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read each chapter before the lecture given on the topic. Re-read and take notes to your needs. Review your notes, the chapter, and your quizzes before each test. Ask for help or clarification on anything you do not understand with the professor.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor took our class beyond the walls of the classroom. He encouraged us to challenge our understanding about material by reviewing case studies.

    Course highlights:

This was not an average lecture hall. Professor Holdaway's classes varied each day; there could be videos to watch, multiple case studies to review, or a class dedicated to questions on specific material.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Review your material everyday; by doing so, one realizes how connected he/she is to the given material. However, everyone has their own way of letting the material sink into their mind. Do not rewrite your notes numerous times if this strategy does not better you remember and understand material.
