    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend Kent Marshall for Organic Chemistry I because he expects student to be familiar with chemical formulas and reactions. He has very much trouble enunciating words.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights were the extra credit, the retrograde syntheses, the degrees of unsaturation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would spend a lot of time learning the reactions because you need them for the retrograde syntheses. Also, you should be very familiar with dipole moments.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Highly recommend Professor Smith for Organic Chemistry at QU! She uses the workbook, charts, and model kits for the class that makes it a lot easier to learn the material. She is always willing to take the time to explain the material. Every class is basically group work which makes it easier to converse with others about the daily lesson.

    Course highlights:

    First semester Organic Chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the material. Do workbook assignments. Go to peer review every week for better understanding of the material
