Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Her teaching style is very strait forward and there are very few surprises in the classroom or on the tests. The lessons are well planned. Her class prepared me for the final exam which was not specific to her class alone but rather was written for the course.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course include gaining real life knowledge. Professor Kessler goes off on several minute tangents on how what we are learning would be used in our lives and what specific careers would use the knowledge most. I enjoyed these tangents because it made the math feel relatable and useful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Although the homework is optional since she does not check it, I suggest going a head and doing a few problems from each section to prepare yourself for the tests. The tests are really what matter and doing the homework along the way made the tests a breeze for me.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. Personally, in the past I have struggled with math, getting the equations down and applying them to the tests we take during class. I can finally say that I am understanding what I am learning. This class brings together every math class I have taken working up to my college education and I am finally able to make the connections. Quizzes every class also require me to stay on top of what we are learning, even if i review my notes a few times before the next class, I am much better off than I was the class before.

    Course highlights:

I have learned a great deal of things. It has tied together other topics from my previous years of education in a way where I can finally understand it. Without a doubt getting an A on a math test has to be the best feeling in the world and without a doubt the highlight of this class. The teacher does a great job of making sure everyone is comprehending what he is putting on the board and every student feels comfortable enough asking questions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell any student considering this course that they have to put in the work to see the grade they want. If they want to show up unprepared for tests and quizzes then their grade will definitely reflect that. You do not need a lot of background knowledge to do well in this course, but it would definitely help to review what you have learned in high school algebra and precalculus.
