    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Teacher is excellent at engaging students, provides a slideshow over each chapter and during his lecture gives in depth information over what happened during the time period.

    Course highlights:

The best part of his class was the socratic seminar and debates that we do every two to three classes over something in that time period.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always write a thesis for essay given before hand to better prepare you for any essay you end up getting.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This teacher is informative in his subject, full of humor, and strives to fill each second of the class with something important. His tests can be challenging but rewarding practice for the true AP exam.

    Course highlights:

The debates and socratic seminars were some of the best times in the class especially when the teacher steps in and takes the side that is struggling the most.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready for how challenging his tests will be and always write at least a thesis for each prompt he gives you that might be the essay you will have.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was by far the best course I took during my junior year. It went so far as to make me question what I wanted to do in the future, and it really opened my mind to the nuances of our country and how we can continue to progress forward.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the debates, especially when you were required to take a stance that you didn't necessarily agree with. Finding out about different perspectives and marginalized groups throughout history was incredibly interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of readings, be engaged, find something to love in every lesson. Don't approach it like a chore, approach it like a new experience and open your mind to what you will learn. Focus on writing essays and absorbing as much as you can.
