Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The time between 1871 to 1945 shows a lot of conflict between the major world powers. A big part of this course are the two world wars and it shows how much distrust and misunderstanding occurs between different political parties. It's such an interesting topic that you find yourself immerse into the world of politics and begin to choose sides and develop new ideas and opinion. This course opens your eyes to the issues we have faced and still face today in the world.

    Course highlights:

From the very beginning we learned about how Africa was split up into different section and the early slave trade. Soon after the topic of alliances and treaties between countries is brought up and leads to issues. These problems create the start of the first world war. After reading about the peace treaties done after the war, multiple leaders move to center stage. A big one being Hitler and the start of the second world war. With all this conflict an international organization was created to avoid disputes called the League of Nations.

    Advice for students:

A big help was the textbook called, Cambridge International AS Level International History 1871-1945. This book contains all the information you will need and extra side notes. It also gives you a clear idea of how the examination is set up and tips on how to take it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it does provide great insight to the history of other countries. Yes it can be slow sometimes and stops right before or during World War 2, but it does bring an understanding of certain motives to attention. The class does have a lot of work, but it does pay off in the end

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is probably the political cartoons. They are either gravely serious or hysterical.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE..it doesn't pay off AT ALL
