Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Some students find Professor Gallagher difficult but I learned a lot from her! It's very much a skill development course so there's a lot more practice with critiques and instruction than there is lecturing.

    Course highlights:

I gained technical drawing abilities such as overcoming optical illusions to see subjects as they actually are, gauging size, and translating scale.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Success is simply a matter of following exact instructions, but does requires you to invest a lot of time in your work. The key thing to remember is that you are expected to be on time, do the coursework exactly as she assigned it, and complete it by the date she assigns. Missing class drawings is setting yourself up for failure. .

I really learned about shading and style as well as different mediums and techniques.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Try your hardest not to miss class. As long as you try, you will pass. Don't be nervous.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is very relaxing and not a hard class to do. If you would want to pass this class, you would have to at least to try out your art skills because your professor wouldn't know what to improve on if you don't try really hard. If you would be having a hard day, this class would make your day relaxing because it is stressful free. It's art!

    Course highlights:

What I gained from this course is so much improvement from my art skills. I went from drawing from stick figures to drawing self-portraits! There were things that were taught in the class that I found entertaining and useful to do. There will be some challenges during the course but it's only about the amount of effort that you put in. As long as you try your best, you are all set on passing the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If your artwork is a mess, feel free to start over again. Your art work must look good if you want to impress or show your professor. Take notes on what your instructor has provided. Even if he or she doesn't tell you to, still do so because it would help a whole bunch.
