    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Really nice teacher, always there if you have questions. However, if you do not have a strong physics background I would not recommend. Tests were taken in groups and allowed to be retaken ande still class averaged were in the 60 percentile. The final was completely related to what we had been learning and personally, I found labs to not really connect to the curriculum. I was an A student but left this class with a -B. (He also didn't have the grades for the final posted until three days into the next quarter :( )

    Course highlights:

I learned that gravity sucks and dosen't apply to the problems we did even though it does if these questions would be in real life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Know physics beforehand for your own sake.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend it because it was a very bad experience for me. I struggled in this class after doing well in every other class at SPSCC. I only earned the credits through the labs which were easy compared to the tests. My advice is to READ ALL THE REQUIRED TEXTS. This means you shouldn't take a break. Also, you should always go to the math/science center to ask questions. That is my greatest regret.

    Course highlights:

I learned how difficult this class was. It made me realize that I wasn't cut out for it. While I worked through it instead of dropping out, I didn't get the grade I wanted. Take this class, if you think you are prepared for a University type course. Take this class if you know you want to and can be an engineer. This class helped me realize that I didn't want to be an engineer.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the book required for the course, or find powerpoints online based on the book. Always go to the math center to ask questions. Find another student in the class to study with. Never leave your questions unanswered.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you love engineering, this is the course that will teach you the basic understanding of how the world around you work.

    Course highlights:

Everything has a connection. Science is one key to unlock those connections.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

PRACTICE PRACTICE AND PRACTICE! If you can understand the subjects, then there are nothing to worry about.
