    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The material in this course is really fun to learn, as it applies to real-world situations. Although the content can become difficult to learn at times, I find it extremely rewarding when I finally understand a concept.

    Course highlights:

The experiments that we performed were the highlights of the course. They applied directly to everyday situations and were very interesting to learn about. In this course, I learned about the physical properties of our planet and the universe in a fun and inspiring way.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering this course is to never give up when learning a new concept. No matter how long it takes, if you show dedication and passion, Mrs. Blakely will make sure you understand the concept before you take the AP exam in May. Always ask questions, and make sure you attend all study group sessions!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I dually enjoyed this course, because it was not only a math course, but it directly applied to my life beyond high school and put together many things together that I had previously learned, allowing my previous knowledge to be life applicable.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the barbie doll drop, where you had to create a linear regression equation to estimate the number of rubber bands needed to get the barbie as close to the ground after dropping her from a height, without letting her touch the ground. I learned many things about how statistics apply to the world and how it can help make be a more successful adult in today's society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are wondering whether you should take some statistics before college, just know that this course is more writing than any other math course you have previously taken. The explanations to the answers must be exact and there is not much room for error. But, if you enjoy having all of those equations and numbers mean something to you in a real life scenario, this class is for you!
