Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Cunningham is a great teacher and makes what could be considered "uninteresting material" fun to learn. There is a good deal of reading, and it is vital that you stay on top of it for the reading quizzes, but overall, this class was fun. When the teacher is motivated, it makes the student motivated, and that's exactly what you'll find here. One of the best classes I took in high school.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were definitely the parts about JFK and his presidency (and assassination) as well as learning about the Civil Rights Movement. Also, the Jazz unit was so, so fun. We jammed out to jazz for a whole class period.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO YOUR READINGS EVERY NIGHT. It is vital to stay on top of the readings because they are tested and the reading quiz scores are a great boost on your overall semester grade if you do well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP U.S. History was a very enjoyable and enriching course. My teacher was amiable and engaged with the students, talking about not only an event, but how it impacted it's time period and even now. Also, the amount learned in just a year was incredible. I feel more confident in my knowledge of American history than ever before.

    Course highlights:

I really had lots of fun learning about

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to study hard and pay attention in class. Also, finding a way to make connections to from history to either your life , present day, or anything else that helps remember important information is key.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because while educating you about American history, it also offers an insight about the present-day American government that you simply could not gain outside of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight of this course is to understand the impact every portion of history has towards our present-day United States. This course illustrates the truth of American history, which may come as a surprise to those who don't generally study United States history. This course brought major insight towards our government, as well as many other country's government. This course allows you to project your opinions about the choices of our past leaders through the discussion opportunities as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My main advice would be to take notes in class, as well as from the textbook. Make sure your notes aren't limited to plot, but rather a true understanding of the interactions and consequences of the history of this country.
