    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Miller is an engaging teacher and values the success of each individual student. While it is a fast paced class, the material is engaging and interesting. The labs were my favorite part because they were student ran and allowed for in depth experimentation.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to properly take notes and prepare for tests. The class required students to not just memorize material, but how to understand it and make connections between topics.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise those enrolling in the course to be prepared to not understand everything in the material right away. A student is expected to spend an good amount of time outside the class reviewing notes from previous days and preparing to ask in depth, clarifying questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting class but you do have to be prepared to do extra work beyond that of what is required for the class.

    Course highlights:

I gained further knowledge on how the human body works and the different inner workings of the body .

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to participate and actually teach you and the rest of the class because sometimes this method is what receives the best results.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Most of the kids who took this AP class with me already had a background in Biology. I came into it without knowing any basic Biology and I struggled all year to keep up with everyone else. This was an extremely challenging class.

    Course highlights:

To be honest, I don't feel as though I retained anything from this course since I spent the whole year trying to catch up with everyone else. The highlight was when I was done!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take a regular Biology class first, or some other science class that teaches you the basics of labs and general Biology. Be prepared to put in a lot of time outside of the classroom studying and even studying in groups to get ready for the tests.
