Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher is really fun. The class is challenging, but overall, Ms. Bottenhorn made everything possible for us to learn. The class is just like regular biology but it goes more in depth. This class also helps you if you want to go off into the medical field because you learn things that the teachers do not teach in biology regular and honors.

    Course highlights:

From this class, I gained more knowledge that I know will help me in a future once I go off into college. The teacher was very prompt in making sure that we understood the class. Since it is an AP class, it was to be expected from it to be challenging. However, I think that this course was not very challenging since there are many helpful fellow classmates who are always willing to help and explain.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

An advice that I would give students considering this course is to ALWAYS do the readings. As a student, I can say that I fell behind on the readings, but as soon as I could, I got caught up. Another piece of advice that I would give out is to do flashcards. Do not only focus on the flashcards your teacher may ask you to do, but also do the key terms the book has. Vocabulary is one of the things that are mainly tested on the AP Exam. Take thorough notes. Doesn't matter how many times your teacher tells you, or how much you have to write, just do it! Not only write them, but go over them and review them once in a while. Make review sessions with a couple friend that took or are taking the class. These advices will not only help you in class, but it will also help you pass the AP Exam in May.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Miss. Bottenhorn is by far the smartest teacher I ever met in all my schooling years. Not only is do I look up to her for her outstanding capability to answer any question with ease, even when I have ask really complex questions to stump her, but she is also so thrived to teach her students and pass her knowledge along

    Course highlights:

I have learned so much from this class due to the amazing communication with the teacher. The highlight of the class is when we discussed cyclooxygenase inhibitors in able to reduce the effects of angiogenisis to help prevent metastasis of cancer (this specific cancer we were looking at was adenocacinoma in the bowel) because of the decrease in prostaglandins by the inability of breaking down arachidonic acid into prostaglandin H2.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Going over vocab handed out is important to do in able to understand the lesson. Also, by doing your work, reading the book, and asking questions you are confused on is very helpful. Miss Bottenhorn can make anyone understand anything with her fantastic education qualities that are the by far best.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is amazing, and alway swilling to help you further understand the subject if you don't get something.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much. I learned how te smallest molecules can effect the biggest life, and vice versa. This course was too amazing to pick a highlight.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, ask questions (lots of them) and do your homework, those three things will ensure you pass.
