Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are like me and are very fascinated with the human body, this class will tell you more than you want to know! I am going in to the medical field as well and Mrs. Hannan does an excellent job at teaching her students everything they need to know as beginners! What makes it even better is that she is a nurse herself! Therefore, she has real life experiences and stories that she tells to keep it interesting! I would definitely recommend this class to anyone wanting a career in any health care field simply because you just learn so much and it's very hard to forget any of the information!

    Course highlights:

Ever since I learned that the human body was more than just a shell, I've always wanted to know more about what goes on inside of us. Taking this course has taught me that there are several different things that could go wrong with our hearts, brains, intestines, etc.. It showed me that no two people are the same because we all have different things going on inside of us at all times. Learning about all of the illnesses, diseases, treatments, and medicines gave me insight of what I would have to deal with working in the medical field. I am happy to say that I have never been more excited about a class in my life! Learning new things about the human body every day is simply amazing to me! The heart is what intrigues me the most! There are so many valves and veins and jobs for each and every part to do in order to keep you alive, and that alone is what fascinates me the most. All of what we are capable of is because of our little hearts!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are wanting to take a course like this, make sure you're actually interested to learn about it. It is a very popular class that not everybody can get in to. If you want to take it then go for it but if you just don't care then let somebody else have your place because you're robbing someone of the knowledge they are seeking. Also, if you are considering any part of the medical field you need to have a strong stomach because things can get pretty gruesome. You basically need to be able to handle seeing blood and internal body parts. Oh, and it doesn't smell the greatest either!
