    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Although it is not my most challenging English class, it was definitely the most fun I've had in the subject. I learned a lot about writing structure and an author's purpose of writing the way he does, and I was introduced to different genres of stories I have never been exposed to.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed being able to collaborate and discuss different styles of writing with a group of students and understand that there isn't necessarily a right or wrong way to write. I learned a lot about different writing styles of short stories and poetry and was taught how to imitate and be exposed to those different methods.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't go into it as a blow off class. I've taken multiple honors english courses so I knew that the class would be easier for me than most of my classmates, but there were times where I struggled with being creative due to being conditioned to write non creative extended essays in my college level english courses. Creating your own pieces from scratch and doing a good job on them is actually a lot more difficult than it sounds.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher gets you to think deeper and develop your thoughts to the fullest extent.

    Course highlights:

I loved being able to write on my own thoughts and not have to be told specific prompts constantly. I could let all of my thoughts out onto the paper and that could be my story.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have your own ideas and love to write, otherwise your going to be stuck with nothing to say.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you're able to write about such a wide variety. It's different from your normal class where you are given certain topics to write for. In this class you are allowed to be more creative.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to be creative and write on my own. All of high school I was given topics to write upon and this class I had to learn to come up with my own ideas. This will be useful for college and later in life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to dig deep and to try something new. Explore your inner creative self and it'll be more rewarding to write something different than the same type of writing in standard English.
