    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Even though it was a very challenging class, you learned a lot and applied what you learned daily.

    Course highlights:

The quarterly projects were my favorite because you were able to make things such as slingshots and cars, you had figure out how to apply the material we were learning at the time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to take lots of notes and stay focused. Mr. Sevachko will always help you, but he will always make you ask other students first.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course. If you're planning to go into any science or medical related field of study, AP Biology provides the information and learning experience to succeed. This course focuses on strengthening your understanding of biological systems and the way that organisms interact with their environments.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course include the labs and the hands-on activities. During difficult chapters of the textbook, the class slows down and ensures that you thoroughly understand the material. One of the most interesting units we cover is on DNA replication, RNA replication, and the central dogma; during this unit the class modeled each stage of DNA and RNA replication, which really helps to solidify an understanding on the topic.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be passionate about Biology. If you honestly do not like the subject, and only want AP credit, this class is not for you. Make sure to do all of the reading guides and POGILs. Although they may seem tedious and time consuming, they really help you understand the material in order to do well on the tests and eventually the AP exam.

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all the classwork, and participate in the labs.
