Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was an introduction to world religions, so it provides a basic understanding of some of the most practiced religions around the world. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it really opened my eyes and dispelled any false information I have heard or previously thought about different religions. It made me really appreciate other religions and understand what they believe and why they believe it.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about religions that I had previously been interested in, like Judaism. I never realized before how little I truly knew about other religions until I became exposed to their values and beliefs, and I now have lots of newfound respect for every one we've learned about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read the chapters and complete the weekly homework, as it is vital for your understanding and success in this course. Also, there is a 6-8 minute presentation that is required, so be ready for that.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I took this class with literally no interest in learning about religions but Professor Bullen was the sweetest and made the class really interesting. The work wasn't too hard; just a weekly assignment and some exams and if you studied, the exams were a breeze. After taking this class, it helped me realize that I wanted to go into anthropology and put more studies into different religions.

    Course highlights:

I think the biggest highlight for this class was the requirement to visit some sort of religious affiliation. At first, I wasn't looking forward to having to go to a strange place where people pray but I went to a synagogue and I learned so much and I really enjoyed myself.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is to stay on top of the work. Professor Bullen lets you work ahead and if you fall behind, the work can add up quickly.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it informs you thoroughly about the world's religions through educational videos and worksheets, discussion posts, and a worship experience assignment! This class also provides the opportunity to freely express your viewpoints, opinions, and beliefs which are highly encouraged throughout the class!

    Course highlights:

This class greatly informed me on all religions as well as the minor religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism. I also had the opportunity to speak my viewpoints, share, and receive opinions from others. One of the greatest highlights of this class was the Worship Paper Experience. You are given the assignment to attend a religious service and write a paper about your experience compared to what you are accustomed too. However she also provides an alternate assignment if you prefer not to attend.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, you must participate! Your grade is mainly reliant on how often and how much you partake in the discussion posts as well as completing your other assignments in on time. In relation to studying, I would focus on the information learned in the videos and use the worksheets provided as a study guide for the tests. I also recommend reviewing what was learned in the previous chapters by re-reading the bolded information throughout the textbook.
