    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because in my opinion, this is the class that prepares student the most for college classes. This class is self driven and independent. Extended Learning Internship gives students a chance to explore a topic that is interesting to them.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course include the ability to develop better work ethic skills, time management skills, improved writing skills and overall a better sense of college work. This class is similar to senior project but is more of a challenge and allows you to dig deeper into your content. I decided to do my project on Reproductive Rights last semester and I learned the ins and outs of this movement. I developed a better understanding about abortion and contraceptive use as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend to take this course if you are looking to improve your writing skills, develop a better understanding about a topic you are passionate about and if you are looking for a challenging class that looks well on transcripts. I recommend going into ELI with extreme passion in whatever it is you decide to learn. Another useful tip is to do your work and write your papers well before the deadlines so you have room to adjust and edit your work.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because this class was one of the most challenging courses I have taken in my whole high school career, but I enjoyed the community of students in this class and I had a healthy amount of freedom of how I wanted to do my project which allowed me to learn more about myself as a student.

    Course highlights:

I learned my boundaries as a student, and I also got the opportunity to learn a ton more about one of my favorite things: Musical Theatre. The biggest highlight of the course was the ability to work with a mentor because I grew as a singer with my mentor, who was a college professor.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay organized and don't slack off at all because it is a tough class. Also, don't compare your project to anyone else's all projects are different and require different amount of work. Lastly don't stress if you aren't stressing.
