    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it provided me a good foundation for further advanced studies for biology and any related field. This class helped me reinforce my future career plans in the health sciences field.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the studies about DNA and the composition of the human body. There were many interesting lab exercises that we did, but my favorite out of them all was the pig dissection lab. It was a very unique experience and I really enjoyed collaborating with my peers and looking at a structure much similar to the human body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Sign up for this course only if you are genuinely interested in pursuing further studies in health-related field. Take time to do the reading about some of the topics because that will really give you a better understanding if you ever get confused. Follow all the directions when doing lab practices because it’s easy to mess a lab up if rules aren’t followed.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course and I learned so much from it. The class is hard but I would recommend it to students who love biology or are interested in it.

    Course highlights:

The best thing about this course is that there are so many ways you learn other than just taking notes. The class is very hands-on and a lot of the time it is self directed. You learn so much and you go very in depth on topics but you are doing it in a fun way.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take very good notes to succeed in this class. There are very frequent reading and note taking assignments and my advice is to not slack on them. They will help you so much.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology isn't a particular interest of mine, so I can't say I really enjoyed the class. Nonetheless, my friend who did enjoy learning about biology always looked forward to it.

    Course highlights:

There are actually quite a few topics you cover in Honors Molecular Biology, ranging from internal biological processes to classification and a peek into biochemistry.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Most colleges prefer if you've taken the three major sciences (physics, biology, and chemistry), so if you aren't too invested in any of the above and haven't taken a biology course, I would recommend it. The class isn't too hard if you do the assigned reading and are prepared to put the time into it.
