Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course does require time dedication and the ability to write well. However, it is highly recommended because Ms. Botts is very helpful. We also learn about many great writers and time periods of literature that will inspire students to be more creative.

    Course highlights:

We have learned much about the Restoration Period and the Renaissance. There are many interesting people from these time periods that show that the ideas of today's culture and youth are not new at all.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to take this course, but only if they are willing to do the work. It is a great opportunity to take some college credit before graduating, but it is a college level class and requires college level work. Do not be afraid to ask for help. We all do.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has helped me prepare for college and it is taught by a very good teacher. She gives you many options to help with people who need to get their grades up, and she is always there if you need help on a paper. It is a fast paced class, but that is what has helped me with preparing for college.

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to get my work done on time. Also, I have learned how to understand what I am reading and write about what I read. We always do in class essays which helps us learn how to write fast and to summarize the information you have just read, which is very nice.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them to prepare for putting work into it and having homework, because you will have quite a bit. I would also tell them to go in their with an open mind and be accepting to everything you do. Some sections may be harder than others, but you just have to wait it out because it will get better.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is Comp I and II for the full year. This class prepares you for higher level college English courses, and get the basic level out of the way. It is a lot of reading and writing, but it gives college credit and the teacher readily works with anyone who makes time to come in and receive help and advice.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed reading Shakespeare and the ancient Greek plays, especially Lysistrata.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write, and always do the reading. It helps a lot to understand all the material, and always ask for help if needed.
