    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because you receive college credit for a fun course with a high school teacher. I learned a lot during the course of one year and had a lot fun with the different labs we did. After taking this course, I am much more prepared for college next year than I ever would've been without it. Every chapter there are two online assignments to prepare for the test and quizzes. I would highly recommend paying close attention to those assignment questions because some of the quiz and test questions come directly from those assignments. Make sure to study lots before the tests because they are difficult, especially the written essay portion.

    Course highlights:

I have gained so much biology knowledge after this course. I learned about the parts of the different cells, about plants, blood, and about everything in between. Even though there is a lot of information thrown at you, we do have some fun days! Like when we celebrated National Mole Day by having mole related foods such as guacamole and watched mole videos. My favorite labs we did were the blood type lab and plant lab. For the blood type lab we had our fingers pricked and were able to tell by ourselves what blood type we have. My other favorite lab is when we researched and grew plants. Even if our plants just germinated we got points!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Like I said: study, study, study if biology doesn't come naturally for you. There is a ton of information you go over during this course and you need to remember is to go on. I also said earlier to pay close attention to the online assignments because those will definitely benefit you during the tests and quizzes. You can retake test and quizzes so take advantage of that. It is much easier to retake a quiz than a test though because the class moves on very fast. It is a tough course but it will benefit you in the long run.
