    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this class is tough, I most definitely recommend it! It really helps to get you ready, (and excited) for math in college. I'm currently taking this class for the semester, and trust me, it is a challenge for over-achievers like me who can't go without receiving an A. If you enjoy graphing, and a whole lot of linear and quadratic functions, this class is for you.

    Course highlights:

We take mastery quizzes each day to see how much we have progressed in the lesson, and to also see if we have understood the concept entirely. The mastery quizzes may tend to make you anxious, and maybe even a little frustrated if you don't pass it the first time, but you can retake the quizzes as many times as you need until you master the lesson! Also, the notes are very thorough, and you work at your own pace for the most part. You write your own notes, so you can write as much or as little as you need! I learned so many things in this course, including patience is key, and to persevere. Math was never easy for me personally, but if you have the right teachers, and take the course seriously, it should be a breeze.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do. Your. Homework. Although most teachers will grade homework off of completion, I found myself failing every mastery quiz I took without doing my homework properly. Also, ask the teacher any questions you have! Since this is like a college course, its crucial to ask questions on those you do not understand. I'm a bit shy, but getting that hands-on help from my teacher helps me to succeed on the homework.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher I had was Mrs. Dennis. She was super nice and she loves what she is doing. She enjoys math and makes it a fun environment to learn in.

    Course highlights:

I learned things that I am going to need for a long time in the career I am going for. I learned about trig functions and the unit circle which makes math easier.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to everything that she is saying and take lots of notes. Make sure you turn everything in on time. Don't procrastinate because the work piles up fast.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's an easy class to get cheap college credit for.

    Course highlights:

To me, it was mostly review, but it did solidify a lot of algebraic skills that are easily forgotten.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay awake during class. Pass your mastery quizzes. Take advantage of retakes.
