    Course Overview:

Professor Shearer sincerely cares about her students and constantly checks with us to make sure that we fully comprehend the material. She offers tutoring outside of class and makes us feel comfortable to ask questions. She's also hilarious.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to make my essays more cohesive. I used to struggle with following prompts and making word count at the same time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not slack! She gives a list of assignments for the whole unit at the beginning of each one. Everything is detailed and listed by date; if you have them done on time, you can pass easily.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Chancellor was a new professor with a rough past in teaching, but she took time to get to know every student. She was very considerate and understanding toward us. If we came from a class that was a long distance off and might be late getting to her's, she only asked that we let her know.

    Course highlights:

We were taught to break away from traditional writing styles and develop our own, while still understanding how to make ourselves best understood. We learned how to analyze reading materials, including the class syllabus, and how to produce quality essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You can't procrastinate, it's a step by step class. If you wait to do step one, the class will be on step 2 by the time you've figured it out. If you need help, just go to the Professor. They make themselves available to students for a reason, and always utilize the resources they list.
